Back Door Courtesy Switch Circuit
DESCRIPTION
The back door courtesy switch is built into the back door lock assembly. The switch turns on when the back door is opened and turns off when the door is closed. The main body ECU applies voltage to the back door lock assembly via terminal BCTY. Back door open/close state signals are input to the main body ECU.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
PROCEDURE
1. INSPECT BACK DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the back door lock assembly Removal.
(b) Check operation of the door courtesy switch.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance (Courtesy switch):
(d) Reinstall the back door lock assembly Installation.
NG -- REPLACE BACK DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAIN BODY ECU (INSTRUMENT PANEL J/B) - COURTESY SWITCH)
(a) Disconnect the 2A main body ECU (instrument panel junction block) connector.
(b) Disconnect the L3 back door lock assembly connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
(d) Reconnect the back door lock assembly connector.
(e) Reconnect the main body ECU (instrument panel junction block) connector.
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
