Rear Door Lock








DOOR LOCK: REAR DOOR LOCK: INSPECTION

INSPECTION





1. INSPECT REAR DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Check the operation.
(1) Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 4 (L) and the negative (-) lead to terminal 1 (UL), then check that the lock locks.
OK:
Locks
If the result is not as specified, replace the rear door lock.
(2) Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 1 (UL) and the negative (-) lead to terminal 4 (L), then check that the lock unlocks.
OK:
Unlocks
If the result is not as specified, replace the rear door lock.
(b) Check the resistance of the unlock detection switch.
(1) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:






If the result is not as specified, replace the front door lock.





2. INSPECT REAR DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY RH
(a) Check the operation.
(1) Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 4 (L) and the negative (-) lead to terminal 1 (UL), then check that the lock locks.
OK:
Locks
If the result is not as specified, replace the rear door lock.
(2) Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 1 (UL) and the negative (-) lead to terminal 4 (L), then check that the lock unlocks.
OK:
Unlocks
If the result is not as specified, replace the rear door lock.
(b) Check the resistance of the unlock detection switch.
(1) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:






If the result is not as specified, replace the front door lock.
