INSTRUMENT PANEL: UPPER INSTRUMENT PANEL: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION





1. INSTALL FRONT PASSENGER AIR BAG ASSEMBLY
(a) Engage the 10 hooks so that the connector side faces the outside of the vehicle, and install the front passenger airbag.
(b) Install the 2 screws.
2. INSTALL NO. 4 INSTRUMENT PANEL CUSHION





(a) Install the instrument panel cushion as shown in the illustration.
3. INSTALL NO. 3 INSTRUMENT PANEL CUSHION





(a) Install the instrument panel cushion as shown in the illustration.
4. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL CUSHION





(a) Install the instrument panel cushion as shown in the illustration.
5. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL CUSHION





(a) Install the instrument panel cushion as shown in the illustration.
6. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL BOX





(a) Install the instrument panel box with the 4 [A] screws.
7. INSTALL NO. 4 INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY





(a) Install the instrument panel register with the 3 [A] screws.
8. INSTALL NO. 2 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT





(a) Install the heater to register duct with the 3 [A] screws.
9. INSTALL NO. 1 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT





(a) Install the heater to register duct with the 4 [A] screws.
10. INSTALL NO. 2 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT SUB-ASSEMBLY





(a) Install the heater to register duct with the 3 [A] screws.
(b) Install the airbag wire harness.
11. INSTALL DEFROSTER NOZZLE ASSEMBLY





(a) Install the defroster nozzle with 3 [A] screws.
12. INSTALL UPPER INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY





(a) Using a nipper, cut off both both ends of the runner portion shown in the illustration (When installing a new one).
(b) Engage the 5 claws at the front of the instrument panel.





(c) Engage the 2 clips and 4 claws at the rear of the upper instrument panel.
(d) Install the upper instrument panel with the 3 [A] screws and [B] bolt.





Torque: 20 Nm (204 kgf-cm, 15 ft-lbf) for bolt [B]





(e) Install the airbag connector.
(f) Connect the airbag connector.
13. INSTALL GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY





(a) Engage the 2 hinges in the horizontal direction to install the glove compartment door.
NOTICE: Engage the 2 hinges in the horizontal direction, otherwise, installation failure caused by excessive play around the hinges will result.





(b) While pushing in the sides of the glove compartment door as indicated by the arrows in the illustration, close the door to engage it to the 2 stoppers.
14. INSTALL COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY Installation





15. INSTALL NO. 4 INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY
(a) Install the instrument panel register with the 3 [A] screws.





16. INSTALL INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL ASSEMBLY
(a) Engage the 6 clips, 10 claws and install the instrument cluster finish panel.





17. INSTALL INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH LOWER PANEL
(a) Engage the 2 clips and install the instrument cluster finish lower panel.





18. INSTALL NO. 4 INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY
(a) Install the instrument panel register with the 2 [A] screws.





19. INSTALL INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH CENTER PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Engage the 4 clips, 3 claws and install the instrument cluster finish center panel.
20. INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH Installation
21. INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH Installation
22. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH
(a) Install the front door opening trim weatherstrip RH.
23. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH
(a) Install the front door opening trim weatherstrip LH.
24. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
Torque: 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 in-lbf)
25. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT
