Initialization of Power Window During PDS

Applicability

Introduction
When the DCC fuse is removed or the battery is disconnected, the "one-touch open and close" and 'lam protection" functions of the power windows will be inoperative due to a loss of the door window position memory stored in the Body ECU.

Initialize each door's power window during Pre-Delivery Service (PDS).

Initialization Procedure

Driver's Door Power Window Switch

1. Turn ignition switch to the "ON" position.

NOTE
All power window switches blink after the battery terminal has been disconnected.





2. Push the driver's door power window switch down to open the window.





3. Pull up the driver's door power window switch until the window closes, and hold it for approximately one second until the switch stops blinking and remains illuminated.

4. Check for proper operation of the "one-touch open and close" function by fully pushing the switch "DOWN" once and fully pulling the switch "UP" once.

NOTE
Jam protection function for the driver's window becomes effective through the above initialization procedure.

Passenger's Door Power Window Switch

1. Turn ignition switch to the "ON" position.

2. Push the passenger's door power window switch down to open the window.





3. Pull up the passenger's door power window switch until the window closes, and hold it for approximately one second until the switch stops blinking and remains illuminated.

4. Check for proper operation of the "one-touch open and close" function by fully pushing the switch "DOWN" once and fully pulling the switch "UP" once.

NOTE
Jam protection function for the passenger's window becomes effective through the above initialization procedure.
