SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM: SIDE AIRBAG SENSOR: INSTALLATION
HINT:
- Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
- The procedures listed below are for the LH side.
CAUTION: Be sure to read the precautionary notices concerning the SRS airbag system before servicing it Service Precautions.





1. INSTALL SIDE AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Install the side airbag sensor with the 2 nuts and bolt.
Torque: 9.0 Nm (92 kgf-cm, 82 in-lbf)
NOTICE:
- If the airbag sensor has been dropped, or there are any cracks, dents or other defects in the case, bracket or connector, replace it with a new one.
- When installing the airbag sensor, be careful that the SRS wiring does not interfere with other parts and that it is not pinched between other parts.

(b) Check that there is no looseness in the installation parts of the sensor.
(c) Connect the connector.
2. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER LH Reassembly
3. INSTALL FRONT DOOR INSIDE HANDLE SUB-ASSEMBLY LH Reassembly
4. INSTALL FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH Reassembly





5. INSTALL FRONT ARMREST BASE PANEL UPPER LH
(a) Connect the switch connector.
(b) Attach the clip and 5 claws to install the front armrest base panel upper LH together with the window regulator master switch.
6. INSTALL ASSIST GRIP COVER LH Reassembly
7. INSTALL FRONT DOOR LOWER FRAME BRACKET GARNISH LH Reassembly
8. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
9. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
(a) Perform initialization Testing and Inspection.
NOTICE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

10. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT
(a) Check the SRS warning light Diagnosis System.
