Cruise Main Indicator Light Circuit
DESCRIPTION
The ECM detects a cruise control switch signal and sends it to the combination meter. Then the CRUISE main indicator light comes on.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
PROCEDURE
1. CHOOSE DIAGNOSIS METHOD
(a) Choose the diagnosis method.
B -- INSPECT COMBINATION METER CIRCUIT
A -- Continue to next step.
2. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON and turn the Techstream on.
(c) Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Cruise Control / Data List.
(d) Check the Data List for proper functioning of the CRUISE main indicator light.
ECM (Cruise Control):
OK:
When the cruise control main switch is operated, the display changes as shown above.
NG -- REPLACE ECM
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. INSPECT COMBINATION METER CIRCUIT
(a) Disconnect the combination meter connector.
(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard voltage:
(c) Reconnect the combination meter connector.
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER-BATTERY)
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (COMBINATION METER - ECM AND BODY GROUND)
(a) Disconnect the combination meter connector.
(b) Disconnect the ECM connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
(d) Reconnect the ECM connector.
(e) Reconnect the combination meter connector.
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER - ECM AND BODY GROUND)
OK -- Continue to next step.
5. INSPECT ECM
(a) Disconnect the ECM connector.
(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard voltage:
(c) Reconnect the ECM connector.
NG -- REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
OK -- REPLACE ECM
