BRAKE CONTROL: REAR SPEED SENSOR: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. REMOVE REAR WHEEL
2. REMOVE REAR BRAKE DRUM SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

3. DISCONNECT SPEED SENSOR WIRE Removal

4. REMOVE REAR AXLE HUB AND BEARING ASSEMBLY Removal

5. REMOVE REAR SPEED SENSOR






(a) Mount the rear axle hub and bearing assembly in a vice between aluminum plates.
NOTE: If it is dropped or heavily damaged, replace the rear axle hub and bearing assembly.

(b) Using a pin punch and hammer, remove the 2 pins from SST (09520-00031) and remove the attachment (09521-00010).
(c) Using SST and the 2 bolts (90101-12007), remove the speed sensor from the rear axle hub.

NOTICE:
- Pull the speed sensor off straight, being careful not to make contact with the speed sensor rotor.
- If the speed sensor rotor is damaged or deformed, replace the rear axle hub and bearing assembly.
- Do not damage the speed sensor or rear axle hub contact surfaces.
- Keep the sensor rotor free of foreign matter.
