DOOR LOCK: FRONT DOOR LOCK: REMOVAL

REMOVAL
HINT:
- Use the same procedure for both the RH and LH sides.
- The procedure described below is for the RH side.

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
2. REMOVE FRONT ARMREST BASE UPPER PANEL Disassembly

3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOWER FRAME BRACKET GARNISH Disassembly

4. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL Disassembly

5. REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY Disassembly

6. REMOVE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY Removal

7. REMOVE FRONT DOOR BELT MOULDING ASSEMBLY

8. REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM BRACKET Disassembly

9. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER Disassembly

10. REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY Disassembly

11. REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS RUN Disassembly

12. REMOVE FRONT DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY Disassembly

13. REMOVE FRONT DOOR FRAME REAR LOWER SUB-ASSEMBLY Disassembly

14. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE COVER Disassembly

15. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK
(a) Disconnect the connector.






(b) Using a "TORX" socket wrench T30, remove the 3 screws.
(c) Slide the front door lock downward, pull out the front door lock open rod from the outside handle frame, and remove the front door lock and cables as a unit.
(d) Remove the front door lock open rod from the front door lock.
(e) Remove the door lock wire harness seal from the front door lock.






(f) Remove the front door lock remote control cable.






(g) Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the 3 claws and open the cover.






(h) Remove the front door inside locking cable.
