INSTRUMENT PANEL: UPPER INSTRUMENT PANEL: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY Installation

2. INSTALL NO. 5 INSTRUMENT PANEL CUSHION

(a) Install a new instrument panel cushion as shown in the illustration.
3. INSTALL NO. 3 INSTRUMENT PANEL CUSHION

(a) Install a new instrument panel cushion as shown in the illustration.
4. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL CUSHION

(a) Install a new instrument panel cushion as shown in the illustration.
5. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL CUSHION

(a) Install a new instrument panel cushion as shown in the illustration.
6. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL CUSHION

(a) Install a new instrument panel cushion as shown in the illustration.
HINT: If there is excess on the edge of the instrument panel cushion, then wrap the excess cushion under the back of the instrument panel before installation.

7. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY

(a) Engage the 3 claws and install the instrument panel register.
HINT: Use the same procedure for both sides.

8. INSTALL NO. 1 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT

(a) Install the heater to register duct with the 2 [A] screws.
9. INSTALL NO. 2 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT

(a) Install the heater to register duct with the 2 [A] screws.
10. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL BOX DOOR SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Engage the 4 claws and 2 clips.
(b) Install the instrument panel box door with the 2 [B] screws.
11. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL CUP HOLDER

(a) Install the cup holder with the 3 [A] screws.
12. INSTALL UPPER INSTRUMENT PANEL
(a) Engage the 5 claws at the front of the instrument panel.
NOTE: If the No. 4 instrument panel cushion is peeling off or torn, then replace it with a new part.

(b) Engage the 4 clips and 4 claws at the rear of the upper instrument panel.

Torque: 20 Nm (204 kgf-cm, 15 ft-lbf) for bolt [C]

(d) Connect the airbag connector and clamp.
13. INSTALL GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY

(a) Engage the 2 hinges horizontally to install the glove compartment door.
NOTE: Engage the 2 hinges horizontally. Otherwise, the hinge may be damaged, making re-installation impossible.

(b) While pushing in the sides of the glove compartment door as indicated by the arrows in the illustration, close the door to engage it to the 2 stoppers.
(c) Install the glove compartment door stoppers onto the glove compartment door.

14. INSTALL INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL RETAINER
(a) Engage the 6 claws and install the instrument cluster finish panel retainer.

15. INSTALL INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH CENTER PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Engage the 7 clips and 2 claws and install the instrument cluster finish center panel.
16. INSTALL COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY Installation

17. INSTALL INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL Installation

18. INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH Installation

19. INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH Installation

20. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH
(a) Install the front door opening trim weatherstrip RH.
21. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH
(a) Install the front door opening trim weatherstrip LH.
22. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
Torque: 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 in-lbf)
23. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT
Diagnosis System
