ENGINE HOOD / DOOR: REAR DOOR: REASSEMBLY

REASSEMBLY

1. INSTALL REAR DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Apply MP grease to the sliding areas of the rear door outside handle frame sub-assembly.






(b) Slide the rear door outside handle frame sub-assembly to install it.
2. INSTALL REAR DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE FRONT PAD





(a) Engage the 2 claws and install the rear door outside handle front pad.






(b) Using "TORX" socket wrench T30, tighten the screw.
Torque: 4.0 Nm (41 kgf-cm, 35 in-lbf)






3. INSTALL REAR DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE REAR PAD
(a) Engage the 2 claws and install the rear door outside handle rear pad.






4. INSTALL REAR DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE ASSEMBLY
(a) Install the rear door outside handle assembly by pushing it in the direction indicated by the arrow mark shown in the illustration.






5. INSTALL REAR DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE COVER
(a) Using "TORX" socket wrench T30, install the rear door outside handle cover with the screw.
Torque: 4.0 Nm (41 kgf-cm, 35 in-lbf)
6. INSTALL REAR DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY Installation

7. INSTALL REAR DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Apply MP grease to the sliding and rotating areas of the rear door window regulator sub-assembly.
NOTE: Do not apply grease to the rear door window regulator spring.





(b) Loosely screw bolt A onto the rear door window regulator sub-assembly.
(c) Insert the rear door window regulator sub-assembly into the door panel. Provisionally tighten bolt A to hang the rear door window regulator sub-assembly on the door panel.
NOTE: Do not drop the rear door window regulator sub-assembly as it may be damaged.

(d) Install the rear door window regulator sub-assembly with the 3 bolts, and tighten bolt A.
Torque: 8.0 Nm (82 kgf-cm, 71 in-lbf)
(e) Connect the connector.






8. INSTALL REAR DOOR GLASS
(a) Install the rear door glass onto the rear door window regulator.






9. INSTALL REAR DOOR QUARTER WINDOW GLASS
(a) Install the rear door quarter window glass onto the rear door quarter window weatherstrip.
10. INSTALL REAR DOOR QUARTER WINDOW WEATHERSTRIP






(a) Slide the rear door quarter window weatherstrip and the rear door quarter window glass, in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration, to install them.






11. INSTALL REAR DOOR WINDOW DIVISION BAR SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Install the rear door window division bar sub-assembly with the 2 bolts and screw.
Torque: 6.2 Nm (63 kgf-cm, 55 in-lbf)for bolt






12. INSTALL REAR DOOR GLASS RUN
(a) Install the rear door glass run.
13. INSTALL REAR DOOR BELT MOULDING







14. INSTALL REAR DOOR WEATHERSTRIP
(a) Engage the 30 clips and install the rear door weatherstrip.






15. INSTALL REAR DOOR CHECK ASSEMBLY
(a) Apply MP grease to the sliding areas of the rear door check assembly.
(b) Install the rear door check assembly onto the door panel with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 5.5 Nm (56 kgf-cm, 49 in-lbf)
(c) Apply adhesive to the threads of the bolt.
Adhesive:
Toyota Genuine Adhesive 1324, Three Bond 1324 or Equivalent
(d) Install the rear door check assembly onto the body panel with the bolt.
Torque: 30 Nm (306 kgf-cm, 22 ft-lbf)






16. INSTALL REAR DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER
(a) Apply butyl tape to the door panel, then install a new rear door service hole cover as shown in the illustration.
HINT:
- When installing the service hole cover, pull the links and connectors out through the service hole.
- There should be no wrinkles or folds after attaching the service hole cover.
- After attaching the service hole cover, check the quality of the seal.

(b) Connect the connector and clamp.
17. INSTALL REAR DOOR TRIM BRACKET






(a) Install the rear door trim bracket with the 2 screws.
18. INSTALL REAR DOOR SPEAKER ASSEMBLY Installation

19. INSTALL REAR DOOR GLASS INNER WEATHERSTRIP






(a) Install the rear door glass inner weatherstrip on the rear door trim board assembly and fold down the 5 claws, as shown in the illustration.






20. INSTALL REAR DOOR INSIDE HANDLE SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Engage the 2 claws and install the rear door inside handle sub-assembly.
21. INSTALL REAR DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY





(a) Connect the rear door lock remote control cable and the rear door inside locking cable.
(b) Connect the connector.






(c) Engage the 7 clips and install the rear door trim board sub-assembly.






(d) Tighten the screw.
22. INSTALL REAR DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL






(a) Engage the 4 claws and install the rear door inside handle bezel.
23. INSTALL REAR DOOR ARMREST BASE UPPER PANEL
(a) Connect the connector.






(b) Engage the clip and 7 claws and install the rear door armrest base upper panel.
(c) Tighten the screw.
24. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
Torque: 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 in-lbf)
