Body Structure
Body StructureLightweight and Highly Rigid Body
1. High Strength Sheet Steel
High strength sheet steel is used in order to realize excellent body rigidity and a lightweight body.
1. Body Shell Construction
^ The front side member and the rear end of the front suspension cross member are joined with a bolt, helping ensure the rigidity of the body.
^ Braces are used in the installation location of the rear suspension, helping ensure the rigidity of the body and driving stability.
^ The spare tire storage area and rear floor cross member are joined, helping ensure the rigidity of the body and driving stability.
^ Reinforcements with bag shaped cross sections have been installed onto the entire circumference of the back door opening to improve the torsional rigidity of the body.
^ The surfaces of the quarter wheel house panel inner and lower back reinforcements have been joined together to further improve the torsional rigidity of the body.
^ The rear shock absorber plate and wheel house upper reinforcements have been joined together to improve the torsional rigidity of the body and the rigidity of the rear shock absorber mounting position.
^ The wheel house upper reinforcement and back door opening reinforcement have been joined together to improve the torsional rigidity of the body and the rigidity of the rear shock absorber mounting position.
^ The rear floor side member, lower back reinforcement, wheel house inner gusset and side outer panel have been joined together to improve the torsional rigidity of the body. This results in reducing the vehicle body vibration when the vehicle is running at high speeds.
