SUSPENSION: REAR SHOCK ABSORBER WITH COIL SPRING: DISASSEMBLY

DISASSEMBLY

1. REMOVE REAR SHOCK ABSORBER CAP
(a) Remove the cap from the shock absorber.
2. REMOVE REAR SHOCK ABSORBER





(a) Using SST, compress the coil spring.
SST: 09727-30021

NOTE: Do not use an impact wrench. It will damage SST.





(b) Using a 6 mm hexagon wrench to hold the piston rod, remove the nut.






(c) Remove the No. 1 shock absorber cushion washer.
(d) Remove the suspension support LH.
(e) Remove the spring front bracket LH.
(f) Remove the No. 1 shock absorber cushion.
(g) Remove the No. 1 spring bumper LH.
(h) Remove the coil spring insulator upper LH.
(i) Remove the coil spring.
