SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM: SIDE AIRBAG SENSOR: REMOVAL

REMOVAL
HINT:
- Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
- The procedures listed below are for the LH side.
CAUTION: Be sure to read the precautionary notices concerning the SRS airbag system before servicing it Service Precautions.

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

2. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOWER FRAME BRACKET GARNISH LH Disassembly

3. REMOVE ASSIST GRIP COVER LH Disassembly







4. REMOVE FRONT ARMREST BASE PANEL UPPER LH
(a) Using a screwdriver, detach the clip and 5 claws, and remove the front armrest base panel upper LH together with the window regulator master switch.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

(b) Disconnect the switch connector.

6. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INSIDE HANDLE SUB-ASSEMBLY LH Disassembly

7. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER LH Disassembly







8. REMOVE SIDE AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Disconnect the connector.
(b) Remove the 2 nuts and bolt.
(c) Remove the side airbag sensor.
