BRAKE CONTROL: SKID CONTROL SENSOR: REMOVAL
REMOVAL
HINT:
- Use the same procedures for the LH side and RH side.
- The procedures listed below are for the LH side.
1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
NOTE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Testing and Inspection.
2. REMOVE REAR WHEEL
3. DISCONNECT SKID CONTROL SENSOR WIRE Removal
4. REMOVE REAR DISC BRAKE CYLINDER MOUNTING WITH REAR DISC BRAKE CYLINDER ASSEMBLY Removal
5. REMOVE REAR DISC Removal
6. REMOVE REAR AXLE HUB AND BEARING Removal
7. REMOVE SKID CONTROL SENSOR
(a) Install the 4 hub nuts to the 4 rear axle hub bolts.
(b) Placing an aluminum plate below the rear axle hub and bearing assembly, place them into a vise.
NOTE: Replace the rear axle hub and bearing assembly if it is dropped or receives a strong shock.
(c) Using a 3 mm pin punch and hammer, remove the 2 pins from the SST (09520-00031) and disconnect the attachment (09521-00010).
(d) Using SST and 2 bolts, remove the skid control sensor from the rear axle hub and bearing assembly.

NOTICE:
- Pull the skid control sensor off straight, be careful not to make contact with the skid control sensor rotor.
- If the sensor rotor is damaged or deformed, replace the rear axle hub and bearing assembly.
- Do not scratch the area where the skid control sensor contacts the rear axle hub and bearing assembly.
- Do not attach the foreign matter to the sensor rotor.
