DTC B2793 - Transponder Chip Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

This DTC is output when: 1) during key code registration, a key malfunction occurs; 2) the key code was unable to be registered properly.






INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. REREGISTER KEY
(a) Delete the DTC Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
(b) Reregister the key and insert this key into the ignition key cylinder. Check that the engine starts with the key.
OK:
Engine starts.
NG -- REPLACE KEY
OK -- END
