Auxiliary Power Outlet: Service and Repair

Power Point Socket:





Power Point Socket

REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

2. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Manual Transaxle)
3. REMOVE FRONT CONSOLE PANEL UPPER
4. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY UPPER
5. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE BOX SUB-ASSEMBLY
6. REMOVE POWER POINT SOCKET ASSEMBLY




a. Turn the socket in the direction as shown in the illustration, disengage the claw between the socket and the power point socket cover, and pull out the socket.




b. Align the socket with the notch on the power point socket cover, and remove the power point socket.


INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL POWER POINT SOCKET ASSEMBLY
a. Align the socket with the notch on the power point socket cover and push the power point socket assembly in as hard as possible.

2. INSTALL REAR CONSOLE BOX SUB-ASSEMBLY
3. INSTALL REAR CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY UPPER
4. INSTALL FRONT CONSOLE PANEL UPPER
5. INSTALL SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY
6. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
7. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
a. Perform initialization.

NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
