REMOVAL
HINT:
- Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
- The procedures listed are for the LH side.
1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
2. REMOVE TONNEAU COVER ASSEMBLY
3. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY
4. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH
5. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH
6. REMOVE SIDE NO.1 TRIM ASSEMBLY LH
7. REMOVE BACK DOOR SCUFF PLATE
8. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL ASSEMBLY LH
9. REMOVE ROOF SIDE GARNISH ASSEMBLY INNER LH
10. REMOVE REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH
a. Remove the 3 bolts and outer belt.
11. REMOVE DECK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY
12. REMOVE NO.1 DECK BOARD
a. Remove the 2 bolts and 2 rope hooks.
b. Remove the No.1 deck board.
13. REMOVE REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY CENTER
a. Remove the bolt and anchor part of the outer belt.
b. Remove the rear seat shoulder belt guide center .
c. Remove the rear seatback board sub-assembly RH .
d. Remove the rear seat shoulder belt cover RH .
e. Remove the 4 nuts and outer belt.
INSTALLATION
HINT:
- Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
- The procedures listed are for the LH side.
1. INSTALL REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY CENTER
a. Install the outer belt with the 4 nuts.
Torque:42 N.m (428 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf)
b. Install the rear seat shoulder belt cover RH .
c. Install the rear seatback board sub-assembly RH.
d. Install the rear seat shoulder belt guide center.
e. Install the anchor part of the outer belt with the bolt.
Torque:42 N.m (428 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf)
NOTE: Do not allow the anchor part to overlap onto the protruding part of the inner belt RH.
f. With the belt installed, check that the belt locks when it is pulled out quickly.
NOTE: The check should be performed with the outer belt installed.
If the operation is not as specified, replace the belt.
g. Check the fastening function of the child restraint system.
NOTE: The check should be performed with the outer belt installed.
1. When the belt is pulled out fully, the belt should automatically try to retract.
2. After the belt has fully retracted, the belt should be able to be pulled out and retracted again.
If the operation is not as specified, replace the belt.
2. INSTALL NO. 1 DECK BOARD
a. Install the No. 1 deck board.
b. Install the 2 rope hooks with the 2 bolts.
3. INSTALL DECK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY
4. INSTALL REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH
a. Install the outer belt with the 3 bolts.
Torque:42 N.m (428 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf)
NOTE: Do not allow the anchor part to overlap onto the protruding part of the floor panel.
b. With the belt installed, check that the belt locks when it is pulled out quickly.
NOTE: The check should be performed with the outer belt assembly installed.
If operation is not as specified, replace the belt.
c. Check the fastening function of the child restraint system.

5. INSTALL ROOF SIDE GARNISH ASSEMBLY INNER LH
6. INSTALL DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL ASSEMBLY LH
7. INSTALL BACK DOOR SCUFF PLATE
8. INSTALL SIDE NO.1 TRIM ASSEMBLY LH
9. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH
10. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH
11. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY
12. INSTALL TONNEAU COVER ASSEMBLY
13. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
14. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
a. Perform initialization.
NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
