Removal and Replacement

Headlight Assembly:

REMOVAL

HINT:
- Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
- The procedures listed are for the LH side.

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

2. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER LH
3. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER RH
4. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER COVER

5. REMOVE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY LH
a. Remove the 2 screws and bolt and disengage the claw.
b. Disconnect the connectors and remove the headlight.

INSTALLATION

HINT:
- Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
- The procedures listed are for the LH side.

1. INSTALL HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY LH
a. Connect the connectors, and install the LH headlight assembly.
b. Install the 2 screws and bolt and attach the claw.

2. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER COVER
3. INSTALL FRONT FENDER LINER RH
4. INSTALL FRONT FENDER LINER LH
5. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
6. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
a. Perform initialization.

NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

7. VEHICLE PREPARATION FOR HEADLIGHT AIM ADJUSTMENT
8. PREPARATION FOR HEADLIGHT AIMING (Using a tester)
9. PREPARATION FOR HEADLIGHT AIMING (Using a screen)
10. INSPECT HEADLIGHT AIMING
11. ADJUST HEADLIGHT AIMING
