Removal and Replacement

Heater Control Assembly:




HEATER CONTROL ASSEMBLY

REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

2. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Manual Transaxle)
3. REMOVE CONSOLE PANEL UPPER FRONT
4. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL ASSEMBLY




a. Detach the 9 claws.

NOTE: If the heater control is removed with the cover open, it may be broken. Be sure the cover is closed when removing it.

b. Disconnect the connector, then remove the heater control.

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL ASSEMBLY




a. Connect the connector.
b. Attach the 9 claws to install the instrument cluster finish panel.

2. INSTALL CONSOLE PANEL UPPER FRONT
3. INSTALL SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Manual Transaxle)
4. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
5. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
a. Perform initialization.

NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
