Applicability

Introduction

Some 2005 2009 model year Scion tC customers may complain of a rattle from the moon roof, in the full open position, when driving on a rough road. Follow the repair procedure provided in this TSB to replace the sliding roof housing sub-assembly and correct the noise.

APPLICABLE WARRANTY

^ This repair is covered under the Toyota Comprehensive Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 36 months or 36,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle's in-service date.

^ Warranty application is limited to correction of a problem based upon a customer's specific complaint.

Repair Procedure

1. Confirm the customer complaint by driving the vehicle on a rough road with the moon roof in the full open position.

2. If the rattle noise can be heard replace the sliding roof housing sub-assembly.

3. To replace the sliding roof housing sub-assembly, refer to the Technical Information System (TIS), applicable model and model year Repair Manual:
