Disassembly and Reassembly

DISASSEMBLY

CAUTION: Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the seatback frame may injure your hands.

1. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY LH
2. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY RH
3. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY CENTER
4. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION COVER
a. Remove the hog rings and seat cushion cover from the seat cushion pad.




5. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SEAT RECLINING COVER LH
a. Remove the clip and reclining cover in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration.

6. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SEAT RECLINING COVER LH

HINT: Use the same procedures described for the rear No. 2 reclining cover LH.

7. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SEAT RECLINING COVER RH

HINT: Use the same procedures described for the LH side.




8. REMOVE REAR SEAT LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
a. Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and remove the rear seatback lock striker cover.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

b. Remove the 2 screws.




c. Remove the 2 reclining control cables as shown in the illustration. Then remove the control lever.




9. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK COVER LH
a. Remove the hog rings. Open the lower part of the seatback cover.
b. Open the zipper.




c. Pull the seatback board in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration to detach the 2 claws.
d. Pull the seatback board in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration to detach the 2 hooks.Then, remove the seatback board.




e. Detach the 4 claws and remove the 2 headrest supports.
f. Remove the seatback cover (with pad) from the seatback frame.
g. Remove the hog rings and seatback cover from the seatback pad.




10. REMOVE REAR SEAT RECLINING CONTROL CABLE LH
a. Remove the 2 control cables as shown in the illustration.

11. REMOVE REAR SEAT LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

HINT: Use the same procedures described for the LH side.




12. REMOVE REAR SEAT SHOULDER BELT GUIDE CENTER
a. Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws labeled A.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

b. Pull the inside cover in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration to detach the claw. Then, remove the shoulder belt guide.




13. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK COVER RH
a. Remove the hog rings. Open the lower part of the seatback cover.
b. Open the zipper.




c. Pull the seatback board in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration to detach the 2 claws.
d. Pull the seatback board in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration to detach the 3 hooks. Then remove the seatback board.




e. Detach the 8 claws and remove the 4 headrest supports.
f. Remove the seatback cover (with pad) from the seatback frame.
g. Remove the hog rings and seatback cover from the seatback pad.




14. REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE HINGE MALE COVER RH
a. Remove the 2 screws.
b. Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and remove the male cover.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.




15. REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE HINGE MALE COVER LH
a. Remove the male cover in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration.

16. REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE HINGE MALE COVER
a. Using a screwdriver, detach the claws and remove the male cover.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.




17. REMOVE REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY CENTER
a. Detach the 2 claws and open the shoulder belt cover.




b. Detach the hook.
c. Remove the 4 nuts and belt.




18. REMOVE REAR SEAT SHOULDER BELT COVER RH
a. Detach the 3 claws and remove the belt cover.

19. REMOVE REAR SEAT RECLINING CONTROL CABLE RH

HINT: Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

REASSEMBLY

CAUTION: Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the seatback frame may injure your hands.




1. INSTALL REAR SEAT RECLINING CONTROL CABLE LH
a. Install the 2 control cables as shown in the illustration.




2. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK COVER LH

NOTE:
- Be careful not to damage the cover.
- When installing the hog rings, avoid wrinkling the cover.

a. Using hog ring pliers, install the seatback cover to the seatback pad with new hog rings.
b. Install the seatback cover (with pad) to the seatback frame.




c. Attach the 4 claws to install the 2 headrest supports.




d. Attach the 2 hooks and 2 claws, and install the seatback board to the seatback frame.




e. Close the zipper.
f. Using hog ring pliers, install the seatback cover (with pad) with new hog rings.




3. INSTALL REAR SEAT LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
a. Install the 2 reclining control cables as shown in the illustration.




b. Install the control lever to the seatback with the 2 screws.
c. Attach the 2 claws to install the rear seatback lock striker cover.

4. INSTALL REAR SEAT RECLINING CONTROL CABLE RH

HINT: Use the same procedures described for the LH side.




5. INSTALL REAR SEAT SHOULDER BELT COVER RH
a. Attach the 3 claws to install the belt cover.




6. INSTALL REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY CENTER
a. Install the belt with the nut as shown in the illustration.
Torque:42 N.m (428 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf)

b. Attach the hook.







c. Align the holes of the 3 parts shown in the illustration, and then install the 3 nuts.

HINT: Before tightening the nuts, raise the seatback to the upright position and make sure the seatback stops in the first lock position of the frame.




d. Attach the 2 claws to close the shoulder belt cover.

7. INSTALL REAR SEAT SIDE HINGE MALE COVER
a. Attach the 2 claws to install the male cover.




8. INSTALL REAR SEAT SIDE HINGE MALE COVER LH
a. Attach the claw to install the male cover.




9. INSTALL REAR SEAT SIDE HINGE MALE COVER RH
a. Attach the 2 claws and install the male cover with the screws.




10. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK COVER RH

NOTE:
- Be careful not to damage the cover.
- When installing the hog rings, avoid wrinkling the cover.

a. Using hog ring pliers, install the seatback cover to the seatback pad with new hog rings.
b. Install the seatback cover (with pad) to the seatback frame.




c. Attach the 4 claws to install the 2 headrest supports.




d. Install the seatback board to the seatback frame.




e. Close the zipper.
f. Using hog ring pliers, install the seatback cover (with pad) with new hog rings.




11. INSTALL REAR SEAT SHOULDER BELT GUIDE CENTER
a. Attach the 4 claws to install the belt guide.

12. INSTALL REAR SEAT LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

HINT: Use the same procedures described for the LH side




13. INSTALL REAR NO.2 SEAT RECLINING COVER LH
a. Install the reclining cover with the clip.

14. INSTALL REAR NO.1 SEAT RECLINING COVER LH

HINT: Use the same procedures described for the rear No. 2 seat reclining cover LH.

15. INSTALL REAR NO. 2 SEAT RECLINING COVER RH

HINT: Use the same procedures described for the LH side.




16. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION COVER
a. Using hog ring pliers, install the seat cushion cover to the seat cushion pad with new hog rings.

NOTE:
- Be careful not to damage the cover.
- When installing the hog rings, avoid wrinkling the cover.
