Introduction
Some customers with the 2007 Scion tC Release Series 3.0 with Kenstyle body kit may complain of a wind noise/whistle at freeway speeds. Removing the hood to front end panel seal will correct this condition.

Applicable Warranty*:
This repair is covered under the Toyota Comprehensive Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 36 months or 36,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle's in-service date.

* Warranty application is limited to correction of a problem based upon a customer's specific complaint.





Component Overview

Repair Procedure





1. Remove and discard the 8 clips that secure the hood to front end panel seal to the front bumper cover.





2. Remove the hood to front end panel seal.

3. Use 3M(TM) General Purpose Adhesive Cleaner to remove any adhesive left from the hood to front end panel seal.





4. Install 8 NEW plastic clips to secure the front bumper cover.

5. Road test to confirm the condition is repaired.
