FRONT DOOR LOCK

REMOVAL

HINT:
- Before adjusting the door position for vehicles equipped with side airbag and curtain shield airbag, be sure to disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. After the adjustment, inspect the SRS warning light, the side airbag system and curtain shield airbag system for normal operation.
- The installation procedures are the removal procedures in reverse order. However, only installation procedures requiring additional information are included.
- Use the same procedures for the LH side and RH side.
- The procedures listed below are for the RH side.
- A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart.

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

2. REMOVE ASSIST GRIP COVER LH
a. Remove the assist grip cover LH.

3. REMOVE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY
a. Driver side: Remove the power window regulator master switch assembly.

4. REMOVE DOOR CONTROL SWITCH ASSEMBLY
a. Passenger side: Remove the door control switch assembly.

5. REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY
a. Remove the front door trim board sub-assembly.

6. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INSIDE HANDLE SUB-ASSEMBLY
a. Remove the front door inside handle sub-assembly.

7. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER
a. Remove the front door service hole cover.

8. REMOVE FRONT DOOR FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY REAR LOWER
a. Remove the front door frame sub-assembly rear lower.

9. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE COVER
a. Remove the front door outside handle cover.

10. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY
a. Remove the front door lock assembly.

INSTALLATION

HINT: The installation procedures are the removal procedures in reverse order. However, only installation procedures requiring additional information are included.

1. INSTALL FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY
a. Install the front door lock assembly.

2. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE COVER
a. Install the front door outside handle cover.

3. INSTALL FRONT DOOR FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY REAR LOWER
a. Install the front door frame sub-assembly rear lower.

4. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER
a. Install the front door service hole cover.

5. INSTALL FRONT DOOR INSIDE HANDLE SUB-ASSEMBLY
a. Install the front door inside handle sub-assembly.

6. INSTALL FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY
a. Install the front door trim board sub-assembly.

7. INSTALL DOOR CONTROL SWITCH ASSEMBLY
a. Passenger side: Install the door control switch assembly.

8. INSTALL POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH
a. Driver side: Install the power window regulator master switch.

9. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
10. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
a. Perform initialization.
