Crankshaft Position Sensor: Testing and Inspection

INSPECTION

1. INSPECT CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR







a. Measure the resistance of the sensor.

If the result is not as specified, replace the crankshaft position sensor.

NOTE: The terms cold and hot refer to the temperature of the sensors. Cold means approximately -10 to 50 degrees C (14 to 122 degrees F). Hot means approximately 50 to 100 degrees C (122 to 212 degrees F).
