Component Tests and General Diagnostics

1. INSPECT TIRE
a) Check the tires for wear and proper inflation pressure.
Standard cold tire inflation pressure

Standard cold tire inflation pressure:








b) Using a dial indicator, check the tire runout.
Standard tire runout: 1.4 mm (0.055 inch) or less





2. ROTATE TIRES

HINT: Refer to the illustration for where to rotate each tire.





3. INSPECT WHEEL BALANCE
a) Check and adjust the off-the-car balance.
b) If necessary, check and adjust the on-the-car balance.
Standard imbalance after adjustment: 8.0 grams (0.018 lbs.) or less
4. INSPECT BEARING LOOSENESS
a) Inspect bearing looseness for front.
b) Inspect bearing looseness for rear.
5. INSPECT AXLE HUB RUNOUT
a) Inspect axle hub runout for front.
b) Inspect axle hub runout for rear.
