Yaw Rate Sensor: Service and Repair
REMOVALNOTE:
- Do not use the dropped or damaged yaw rate sensor.
- Keep the area between the yaw rate sensor bracket and body free from foreign matter.
- Make sure of the sensor direction.
1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
2. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY
a. Remove the rear console box.
3. REMOVE YAW RATE SENSOR
a. Disconnect the yaw rate sensor connector.
b. Remove the 2 bolts and yaw rate sensor.
INSTALLATION
NOTE:
- Do not use the dropped or damaged yaw rate sensor.
- Keep the area between the yaw rate sensor bracket and body free from foreign matter.
- Make sure of the sensor direction.
1. INSTALL YAW RATE SENSOR
a. Install the yaw rate sensor with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 14 N.m (143 kgf.cm, 10 ft.lbf)
b. Connect the yaw rate sensor connector.
2. INSTALL REAR CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY
a. Install the rear console box.
3. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
4. PERFORM YAW RATE SENSOR ZERO POINT CALIBRATION
a. Perform yaw rate sensor zero point calibration.
5. CHECK VSC SENSOR SIGNAL
a. Check the VSC sensor signal.
