Disassembly and Reassembly

DISASSEMBLY




1. REMOVE NO. 2 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT
a. Using nippers, cut off the ultrasonic welding portion as shown in the illustration to remove the No. 2 heater to register duct from the instrument panel sub-assembly.




2. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR LOCK MOUNTING BRACKET
a. Remove the screw and glove compartment door lock mounting bracket.

REASSEMBLY




1. INSTALL GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR LOCK MOUNTING BRACKET
a. Install the glove compartment door lock mounting bracket with the screw.

2. INSTALL NO. 2 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT




a. When replacing the lower instrument panel with a new one: Cut the boss off using nippers, as shown in the illustration.




b. Using a screw, install the No. 2 heater to register duct.
