Test Mode Procedure

TEST MODE PROCEDURE
1. TEST MODE (USING SST CHECK WIRE)
a. Step 1: Make sure that the ignition switch is OFF.








b. Step 2: Using SST, connect terminals TS and CG of the DLC3.

c. Step 3: Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
d. Step 4: Press the tire pressure warning reset switch.
e. Step 5: Check that the tire pressure warning light comes on.

HINT:
^ Unless step 4 is performed, the tire pressure warning light remains off while in test mode.
^ When there is a problem with the tire pressure warning system, the tire pressure warning light blinks at 0.5 second intervals.

If the light output result is not normal, proceed to the problem symptoms table or TS and CG terminal circuit.

f. Step 6: Turn the ignition switch OFF.
g. Step 7: Remove SST from the DLC3.

h. Step 8: Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.





i. Step 9: Check that the tire pressure warning light goes off.








2. TEST MODE (USING THE INTELLIGENT TESTER)
a. Step 1: Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.
b. Step 2: Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
c. Step 3: Select "SIGNAL CHECK", and proceed to check with the intelligent tester.
d. Step 4: Press the tire pressure warning reset switch.
e. Step 5: Check that the tire pressure warning light comes on.

HINT:
^ Unless step 4 is performed, the tire pressure warning light remains off while in test mode.
^ When there is a problem with the tire pressure warning system, the tire pressure warning light blinks at 0.5 second intervals.





If the light output result is not normal, proceed to the problem symptoms table.
f. Step 6: Turn the ignition switch OFF.
g. Step 7: Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
h. Step 8: Check that the tire pressure warning light goes off.
