Removal and Replacement

REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

2. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY UPPER
a. Remove the instrument panel sub-assembly upper.

3. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY LOWER
a. Remove the instrument panel sub-assembly lower.

4. REMOVE ECM
5. REMOVE AIR DUCT




6. REMOVE BLOWER ASSEMBLY
a. Disconnect the 3 connectors.




b. Remove the 3 screws and bolt.




c. Detach the claw and remove the blower in the order shown in the illustration.

INSTALLATION




1. INSTALL BLOWER ASSEMBLY
a. Install the blower assembly with the claw in the order shown in the illustration.




b. Install the blower assembly with the bolt and 3 screws.
Torque:9.8 N.m (100 kgf.cm, 7 ft.lbf) for bolt




c. Connect the 3 connectors.

2. INSTALL AIR DUCT
3. INSTALL ECM
4. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY LOWER
a. Install the instrument panel sub-assembly lower.

5. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY UPPER
a. Install the instrument panel sub-assembly upper.

6. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
7. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
a. Perform initialization.

8. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT
a. Check the SRS warning light.
