Removal and Replacement

REMOVAL

Front Bumper:

a. Remove the 3 screws.
b. Partially remove the fender liner.

HINT: It is not necessary to fully remove the fender liner. Partially remove it so that the bumper cover can be removed later.

2. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER RH

HINT: Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

3. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER COVER

a. Remove the 3 screws and 2 bolts.
b. Using a clip remover, remove the clip labeled A, 2 clips labeled B, and 2 radiator protectors.

c. Apply protective tape under the front fender.
d. Using a screwdriver, detach the 6 claws labeled A and 2 claws labeled B, and remove the bumper cover.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

4. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER
5. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY

a. Remove the 6 nuts and reinforcement.

6. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT LH

a. Remove the screw and bolt.
b. Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 clips, and remove the side support.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

7. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT RH

HINT: Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

INSTALLATION

HINT: A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart.

1. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT LH
a. Attach the 2 clips to install the side support.

b. Install the screw and bolt.

Torque:
6.0 N.m (61 kgf.cm, 53 in.lbf) for screw
12 N.m (122 kgf.cm, 9 ft.lbf) for bolt

2. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT RH
a. Attach the 2 clips to install the side support.
b. Install the screw and bolt.

Torque:
6.0 N.m (61 kgf.cm, 53 in.lbf) for screw
12 N.m (122 kgf.cm, 9 in.lbf) for bolt

3. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT
a. Install the reinforcement with the 6 nuts.

4. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER
5. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER COVER

a. Put protective tape under the front fender.
b. Attach the 6 claws labeled A and 2 claws to install the bumper cover.

c. Install the 3 screws, 2 bolts, clip labeled A, 2 clips labeled B and 2 radiator protectors.

Torque:
6.0 N.m (61 kgf.cm, 53 in.lbf) for screw
12 N.m (122 kgf.cm, 9 ft.lbf) for bolt

6. INSTALL FRONT FENDER LINER LH
a. Install the fender liner with the 3 screws.

Torque: 6.0 N.m (61 kgf.cm, 53 in.lbf)

7. INSTALL FRONT FENDER LINER RH
a. Install the fender liner with the 3 screws.

Torque: 6.0 N.m (61 kgf.cm, 53 in.lbf)
