Replacement

REPLACEMENT




1. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER LH
a. Remove the 4 bolts and nut, and then remove the engine under cover.




2. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER RH
a. Remove the 4 bolts and engine under cover.




3. REMOVE FLYWHEEL HOUSING SIDE COVER
a. Remove the flywheel housing side cover by raising up and pulling out as shown in the illustration.




4. REMOVE STARTER ASSEMBLY
a. Remove the nut and starter wire.
b. Disconnect the starter connector.
c. Remove the 2 bolts and starter.

5. INSTALL STARTER ASSEMBLY

Torque:
37 Nm (377 kgf.cm, 27 ft.lbf) for bolt
9.8 Nm (100 kgf.cm, 7 ft.lbf) for nut


6. INSTALL FLYWHEEL HOUSING SIDE COVER

NOTE:
- Insert the claw until it makes a "click" sound when installing the flywheel housing side cover.
- If the claw is deformed, replace the flywheel housing side cover.

7. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER RH

Torque:
5.0 Nm (51 kgf.cm, 44 in.lbf) for bolt
5.0 Nm (51 kgf.cm, 44 in.lbf) for nut


8. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER LH

Torque:
5.0 Nm (51 kgf.cm, 44 in.lbf) for bolt
5.0 Nm (51 kgf.cm, 44 in.lbf) for nut
