Air Bag Sensor Front LH:

AIR BAG FRONT RH SENSOR REPLACEMENT

1. OBSERVE RESTRAINT SYSTEMS SERVICE PRECAUTIONS
2. SEPARATE BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL




3. REMOVE AIR BAG FRONT RH SENSOR
a. Remove the 2 bolts and airbag front RH sensor.
b. Disconnect the connector from the airbag front RH sensor.

4. INSTALL AIR BAG FRONT RH SENSOR
a. Check that the ignition switch is off.
b. Check that the battery negative (-) terminal is disconnected.

NOTE: After removing the terminal wait for at least 90 seconds before starting the operation.

c. Install the airbag front RH sensor with the 2 bolts.

Torque: 17.5 Nm (178 kgf.cm, 13 ft.lbf)

NOTE:
- If the airbag front RH sensor has been dropped, or there are any cracks, dents or other defects in the case, bracket or connector, replace the airbag front RH sensor with a new one.
- When installing the airbag front RH sensor, be careful that the SRS wiring does not interfere with other parts and is not pinched between other parts.

d. Connect the connector to the airbag front RH sensor.
e. Check that there is no looseness in the installation parts of the airbag front RH sensor.

5. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT
Refer to Air Bag Systems; Testing and Inspection.
