Air Bag Sensor Assy Center

Airbag Sensor Assy Center:






REPLACEMENT

1. OBSERVE RESTRAINT SYSTEMS SERVICE PRECAUTIONS
2. DISCONNECT BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL
3. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL LOWER CENTER




4. REMOVE AIR BAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY CENTER
a. Disconnect the 3 connectors from the airbag sensor assembly center.
b. Using a torx socket wrench (T40), remove the 4 torx screws and airbag sensor assembly center.

5. INSTALL AIR BAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY CENTER
a. Check that the ignition switch is off.
b. Check that the battery negative (-) terminal is disconnected.

NOTE: After removing the terminal wait for at least 90 seconds before starting the operation.

c. Using a torx socket wrench (T40), install the airbag sensor assembly center with the 4 torx screws.

NOTE:
- If the airbag sensor assembly center has been dropped, or there are any cracks, dents or other defects in the case, bracket or connector, replace the airbag sensor assembly center with a new one.
- When installing the airbag sensor assembly center, take care that the SRS wiring does not interfere with other parts and is not pinched between other parts.

d. Tighten the 4 torx screws to the specified torque.

Torque: 20 Nm (200 kgf.cm, 14 ft.lbf)

e. Connect the connectors to the airbag sensor assembly center.
f. Check that there is no looseness in the installation parts of the airbag sensor assembly center.
g. Check that the water-proof sheet is properly set.

6. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT
