SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM
In the Supplemental Restraint System, the airbag sensor assembly center installed on the floor under the A/C unit determines whether or not to deploy the SRS airbag, and activates the seat belt pretensioner by receiving the information signal of the collision impact from each sensor. The driver airbag and front passenger airbag deploy in the 2nd steps. The airbag sensor assembly center controls the 2nd step deployment of the airbag on the driver's seat according to the collision impact force, seat position and seat belt ON/OFF. The airbag sensor assembly center controls the 2nd step of the airbag on the passenger seat according to the collision impact force and seat belt ON/OFF. When the system has trouble, the SRS warning light on the combination meter assembly comes on and blinks to inform the driver of the trouble.
