DTC 83 SHORT IN CURTAIN SHIELD SQUIB (RH) CIRCUIT

CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION

DTC Detecting Condition:

The curtain shield squib RH circuit consists of the airbag sensor assembly center and the curtain shield airbag assembly RH.

This circuit actuates the SRS to deploy when deployment conditions are met. DTC B1160/83 is recorded when a short circuit is detected in the curtain shield squib RH circuit.

HINT: DTC B1160/83 is indicated only for the vehicle equipped with the side airbag.
