FRONT SUSPENSION ARM SUB-ASSEMBLY LOWER NO.1 LH
REPLACEMENT

HINT:
- Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
- The procedures listed are for the LH side.

1. PLACE FRONT WHEELS FACING STRAIGHT AHEAD
2. REMOVE COLUMN HOLE COVER SILENCER SHEET
3. SEPARATE STEERING INTERMEDIATE SHAFT ASSEMBLY NO.2
4. SEPARATE STEERING COLUMN HOLE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY NO.1
5. REMOVE FRONT WHEELS
6. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER LH
7. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER RH
8. SEPARATE TIE ROD END SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
SST 09628-00011
9. SEPARATE TIE ROD END SUB-ASSEMBLY RH
SST 09628-00011

HINT: Separate the RH side following the same procedures as with the LH side.

10. DISCONNECT PRESSURE FEED TUBE ASSEMBLY
SST 09023-12700





11. SEPARATE FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY LH
a. Remove the nuts and separate the stabilizer link assembly LH from the front shock absorber with coil spring.

HINT: Use a hexagon wrench (6 mm) to hold the stud if the ball joint turns together with the nut.

12. SEPARATE FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY RH

HINT: Separate the RH side following the same procedures as with the LH side.





13. SEPARATE FRONT SUSPENSION ARM SUB-ASSEMBLY LOWER NO.1 LH
a. Remove the bolt and the 2 nuts.
b. Lower the front suspension arm sub-assembly lower No.1 LH and separate it from the front lower ball joint assembly.
14. SEPARATE FRONT SUSPENSION ARM SUB-ASSEMBLY LOWER NO.1 RH

HINT: Separate the RH side following the same procedures as with the LH side.

15. REMOVE FLOOR PANEL BRACE FRONT
16. REMOVE EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY CENTER
17. REMOVE HOOD SUB-ASSEMBLY
18. REMOVE ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY NO.1
19. SUSPEND ENGINE ASSEMBLY
20. REMOVE NO.1 HOOK
21. REMOVE FRONT SUSPENSION CROSSMEMBER SUB-ASSEMBLY





22. REMOVE FRONT SUSPENSION ARM SUB-ASSEMBLY LOWER NO.1 LH
a. Remove the 2 bolts, the nut and the front suspension arm sub-assembly lower No. 1 LH.

NOTICE: Keep the nut from rotating and loosen the bolt.





23. TEMPORARILY TIGHTEN FRONT SUSPENSION ARM SUB-ASSEMBLY LOWER NO.1 LH
a. Install the front suspension arm sub-assembly lower No.1 LH to the suspension crossmember sub-assembly and temporarily tighten the front suspension arm sub-assembly lower No.1 LH with the 2 bolts and the nut.
24. INSTALL FRONT SUSPENSION CROSSMEMBER SUB-ASSEMBLY
25. INSTALL NO.1 HOOK





26. CONNECT FRONT SUSPENSION ARM SUB-ASSEMBLY LOWER NO.1 LH
a. Install the front suspension arm sub-assembly lower No.1 LH to the front lower ball joint assembly with the bolt and the 2 nuts.
Torque: 89 Nm (908 kgf-cm, 66 ft. lbs.)
27. CONNECT FRONT SUSPENSION ARM SUB-ASSEMBLY LOWER NO.1 RH

HINT: Connect the RH side following the same procedures as with the LH side.





28. CONNECT FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY LH
a. Connect the front stabilizer link assembly LH to the front shock absorber with coil spring with the nut.
Torque: 74 Nm (755 kgf-cm, 55 ft. lbs.)

HINT: Use a hexagon (6 mm) wrench to hold the stud if the ball joint turns together with the nut.

29. CONNECT FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY RH

HINT: Connect the RH side following the same procedures as with the LH side.

30. CONNECT PRESSURE FEED TUBE ASSEMBLY
SST 09023-12700
31. CONNECT TIE ROD END SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
32. CONNECT TIE ROD END SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

HINT: Connect the RH side following the same procedures as with the LH side.

33. INSTALL EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY CENTER
34. INSTALL FLOOR PANEL BRACE FRONT
35. STABILIZE SUSPENSION
a. Install the front tire.
Torque: 103 Nm (1,050 kgf-cm, 76 ft. lbs.)
b. Jack down the vehicle and bounce it up and down several times to stabilize the front suspension.





36. FULLY TIGHTEN FRONT SUSPENSION ARM SUB-ASSEMBLY LOWER NO.1 LH
a. Fully tighten the 2 bolts.
Torque: 137 Nm (1,400 kgf-cm, 101 ft. lbs.)

NOTICE:
- Keep the nut from rotating while tightening the rear side bolt.
- Make the tire condition contact ground with a foun-posts lift.

37. CONNECT STEERING COLUMN HOLE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY NO.1
38. CONNECT STEERING INTERMEDIATE SHAFT ASSEMBLY NO.2
39. INSTALL COLUMN HOLE COVER SILENCER SHEET
40. INSTALL ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY NO.1
41. ADD POWER STEERING FLUID
42. BLEED POWER STEERING FLUID
43. CHECK POWER STEERING FLUID LEVEL IN RESERVOIR
44. CHECK FOR FLUID LEAKS
45. INSPECT HOOD SUB-ASSEMBLY
46. ADJUST HOOD SUB-ASSEMBLY
47. INSPECT AND ADJUST FRONT WHEEL ALIGNMENT
48. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER LH
49. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER RH
