C. Install the New Side Impact Airbag Sensors With Mounting Brackets

1) Install the NEW Side Impact Airbag Sensor.

2) Reinstall the 2 nuts.

3) Install the NEW bolt.





4) Torque the 2 nuts and the bolt to specification in the order shown in the illustration.

Torque Specification:
9.0 N.m (92 kgf.cm, 80 in.lbf)

5) Check that the sensor is properly secured and no looseness exists.

6) Reconnect the sensor connector.

7) Reinstall the door service hole cover.

8) Repeat the Side Impact Airbag Sensor Installation procedure on the opposite door.

NOTE:

^ If the Side Impact Airbag Sensor has been dropped, or if there are any cracks, dents or other defects in the case, bracket or connector, replace it with a new one.

^ During the installation be careful that the SRS wiring does not interfere with or is pinched between other parts.
