Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview

INSPECTION

1. Driver side:
INSPECT FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH







a. Measure the resistance of the buckle switch.

If the result is not as specified, replace the inner belt assembly.

2. Passenger side:
INSPECT FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY RH







a. Measure the resistance of the buckle switch.

If the result is not as specified, replace the inner belt assembly.

3. Passenger side:
INSPECT OCCUPANT DETECTION SENSOR







a. Measure the resistance of the sensor.

If the result is not as specified, replace the occupant detection sensor.

4. INSPECT PASSENGER SEAT BELT WARNING LAMP ASSEMBLY







a. Remove the A/C control.
b. Apply battery voltage to the warning lamp terminals and check warning lamp operation as shown in the table and illustration.

NOTE:
- Apply protective tape to the battery leads to avoid contact with other terminals.
- Disconnect the battery's negative (-) terminal cable immediately after the lamp illuminates.

If the result is not as specified, replace the A/C control assembly.
