REPLACEMENT

HINT:
- The installation procedures are the removal procedures in reverse order. However, only installation procedures requiring additional information are included.
- A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart.
- CRS stands for child restraint system.

1. DISCONNECT BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL
2. REMOVE TONNEAU COVER ASSEMBLY
3. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY
4. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH
5. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH
6. REMOVE SIDE NO.1 TRIM ASSEMBLY LH
7. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL ASSEMBLY LH
8. REMOVE ROOF SIDE GARNISH ASSEMBLY INNER LH
9. REMOVE REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH
a. Remove the 3 bolts and outer belt.

10. REMOVE REAR SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH
a. Remove the bolt and inner belt.

11. REMOVE REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY CENTER
a. Remove the bolt and outer belt center.
b. Remove the rear seat shoulder belt guide center.
c. Remove the rear seatback board RH.
d. Remove the rear seat shoulder belt cover RH.
e. Remove the 4 nuts and outer belt center.

12. REMOVE REAR SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY RH
a. Remove the bolt and inner belt.

13. REMOVE CRS TETHER ANCHOR BRACKET
a. Remove the 2 bolts and 2 rope hooks.
b. Remove the deck board No.1.
c. Remove the 2 clips and rear floor board No.1.
d. Remove the 3 bolts and 3 anchor brackets.

14. INSTALL CRS TETHER ANCHOR BRACKET
a. Install the 3 anchor brackets with the 3 bolts.

Torque: 19.6 N.m (200 kgf.cm, 14 ft.lbf)




15. INSTALL REAR SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY RH
a. Install the inner belt with the bolt, as shown in the illustration.

Torque: 42 N.m (430 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf)

NOTE: Do not make the anchor part run onto the protruding part of the floor panel.

16. INSTALL REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY CENTER




a. Before installing the ELR, check the ELR.

NOTE: Do not disassemble the retractor.

b. Check the amount of inclination required to lock the retractor.
1. When the inclination of the retractor is 15° or less, check that the belt can be pulled from the retractor.
When the inclination of the retractor is over 45°, check that the belt locks.

If operation is not as specified, replace the belt.




c. Install the outer belt with the bolt.

Torque: 42 N.m (430 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf)

NOTE: Do not make the anchor part run onto the protruding part of the inner belt RH.

d. After installing the ELR, check the ELR.

NOTE: The check should be performed with the outer belt installed.

1. With the belt installed, check that the belt locks when it is pulled out quickly.

If operation is not as specified, replace the belt.

e. Check the fastening function of the child restraint system.

NOTE: The check should be performed with the outer belt installed.

1. When the belt is pulled out fully, the belt should automatically try to retract.
2. After the belt has fully retracted, the belt should be able to be pulled out and retracted again.

If operation is not as specified, replace the belt.




17. INSTALL REAR SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH
a. Install the inner belt with the bolt as shown in the illustration.

Torque: 42 N.m (430 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf)

NOTE: Do not make the anchor part run onto the protruding part of the floor panel.

18. INSTALL REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH




a. Before installing the ELR, check the ELR.

NOTE: Do not disassemble the retractor.

b. Check the amount of inclination required to lock the retractor.
1. When the inclination of the retractor is 15° or less, check that the belt can be pulled from the retractor.
When the inclination of the retractor is over 45°, check that the belt locks.

If operation is not as specified, replace the belt.




c. Install the inner belt with the 3 bolts.

Torque: 42 N.m (430 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf)

NOTE: Do not make the anchor part run onto the protruding part of the floor panel.

d. After installing the ELR, check the ELR.

NOTE: The check should be performed with the outer belt assembly installed.

1. With the belt installed, check that the belt locks when it is pulled out quickly.

If operation is not as specified, replace the belt.

e. Check fastening function of the child restraint system.

NOTE: The check should be performed with the outer belt assembly installed.

1. When the belt is pulled out fully, the belt should automatically try to retract.
2. After the belt has fully retracted, the belt should be able to be pulled out and retracted again.

If operation is not as specified, replace the belt.

19. CONNECT BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL
20. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
21. CHECK SRS WARNING LAMP
