Instrument Panel Air Bag Assy Lower No.1 Replacement
Instrument Panel Air Bag Assy Lower No.1:
REPLACEMENT
HINT: Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
1. PRECAUTION
Refer to Air Bag Systems; Service Precautions.
2. DISCONNECT BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL
CAUTION: After removing the terminal, wait for at least 90 seconds before starting the operation.
3. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL AIR BAG ASSEMBLY LOWER NO.1
a. Remove the 3 bolts and the instrument panel airbag assembly lower No.1.
b. Disconnect the connector from the instrument panel air-bag assembly lower No.1.
NOTE: When handling the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.
4. INSPECT INSTRUMENT PANEL AIR BAG ASSEMBLY LOWER NO.1
5. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL AIR BAG ASSEMBLY LOWER NO.1
a. Connect the connector to the instrument panel airbag assembly lower No.1.
NOTE: When handling the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.
b. Install the instrument panel airbag assembly lower No.1 with the 3 bolts.
Torque: 18 N.m (184 kgf.cm, 13 ft.lbf)
6. CONNECT BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL
When disconnecting the battery terminal, initialize the following systems after the terminal is reconnected.
- Power window control system
- Sliding roof system
7. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT
