INSPECTION1. HEADLAMP DIMMER SWITCH ASSEMBLY
a. Inspect light control switch continuity.
1. Measure the resistance according to the values in the table.
b. Inspect headlight dimmer switch continuity.
1. Measure the resistance according to the values in the table.
c. Inspect turn signal switch continuity.
1. Measure the resistance according to the values in the table.
2. HEADLAMP RELAY
a. Measure the resistance according to the values in the table.
3. TAIL LAMP RELAY
a. Measure the resistance according to the values in the table.
4. AIR CONDITIONING PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY
a. Inspect hazard warning switch continuity.
1. Measure the resistance according to the values in the table.
2. Connect the positive lead (+) from the battery to terminal 25 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 9, then check that the lamp comes on.
OK:
Lamp comes on.
5. STOP LAMP SWITCH ASSEMBLY
a. Measure the resistance according to the values in the table.
6. BACK UP LAMP SWITCH ASSEMBLY
a. Measure the resistance according to the values in the table.
7. PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH ASSEMBLY
a. Measure the resistance according to the values in the table.
8. TRANSPONDER KEY AMPLIFIER
a. Inspect ignition key cylinder lamp operation.
1. Connect the battery positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 2 and the battery negative (-) lead to terminal 6, then check that the illumination comes on.
OK:
Illumination comes on.
9. FRONT DOOR COURTESY LAMP SWITCH ASSEMBLY
a. Measure the resistance according to the values in the table.
10. BACK DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY
a. Inspect back door courtesy lamp switch.
1. Measure the resistance according to the values in the table.
11. MAP LAMP ASSEMBLY
a. Measure the resistance according to the values in the table.
b. Connect the battery positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 3 and the battery negative (-) lead to terminal 8, then check that the lamp comes on when the switch is in the DOOR position.
OK:
Lamp comes on.
c. Connect the battery positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 3 and the battery negative (-) lead to terminal 4, then check that the lamp comes on when the switch is in the ON position.
OK:
Lamp comes on.
12. ROOM LAMP ASSEMBLY NO.1
a. Measure the resistance according to the values in the table.
b. Connect the battery positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 1 and the battery negative (-) lead to terminal 2, then check that the lamp comes on when the switch is in the DOOR position.
OK:
Lamp comes on.
c. Connect the battery positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 1 and the battery negative (-) lead to terminal 3, then check that the lamp comes on when the switch is in the ON position.
OK:
Lamp comes on.
13. ROOM LAMP ASSEMBLY NO.2
a. Connect the battery positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 2 and the battery negative (-) lead to terminal 1, then check that the lamp comes on when the switch is in the ON position.
OK:
Lamp comes on.
14. INDICATOR LAMP ASSEMBLY
a. Inspect front console illumination.
1. Connect the battery positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 1 and the battery negative (-) lead to terminal 2, then check that the illumination comes on.
OK:
Illumination comes on.
