License Plate Lamp: Service and Repair

LICENSE PLATE LAMP ASSEMBLY

OVERHAUL

HINT:
- Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
- The procedures listed below are for the LH side.
- Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

1. REMOVE BACK DOOR GARNISH CENTER
2. REMOVE BACK DOOR SIDE GARNISH LH
3. REMOVE BACK DOOR SIDE GARNISH RH
4. REMOVE BACK DOOR GARNISH SUB-ASSEMBLY OUTSIDE




5. REMOVE LICENSE PLATE LAMP ASSEMBLY
a. Disconnect the connector.
b. Disengage the 2 claws and remove the license plate lamp assembly as shown in the illustration.




6. REMOVE LICENSE PLATE LAMP BULB
a. Turn in the direction indicated by the arrow and remove the license plate lamp bulb and the license plate lamp socket and wire as a unit.
b. Remove the license plate lamp bulb from the license plate lamp socket and wire.

7. REMOVE LICENSE PLATE LENS LH
