Blower Motor: Service and Repair

Blower Assy:

OVERHAUL

HINT: Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

1. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY UPPER W/FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

HINT: Refer to the instructions for removal of the instrument panel sub-assembly upper w/ front passenger airbag assembly.

2. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL LOWER ASSEMBLY

HINT: Refer to the instructions for removal of the instrument panel lower assembly.

3. REMOVE ECM
4. REMOVE AIR DUCT
5. REMOVE BLOWER ASSEMBLY




a. Disconnect the 3 connectors.




b. Remove the 3 screws and bolt.




c. Release the claw and remove the blower assembly.

6. REMOVE AIR FILTER CASE




a. Release the 2 claws and remove the air filter case.

7. REMOVE AIR INLET SERVOMOTOR




a. Remove the 2screws and the air inlet servomotor.

8. REMOVE BLOWER MOTOR CONTROL




a. Remove the 2 screws and the blower motor control.

9. REMOVE BLOWER W/FAN MOTOR SUB-ASSEMBLY




a. Remove the 3 screws and the blower w/ fan motor sub-assembly.

10. INSTALL BLOWER ASSEMBLY




a. Install the blower assembly with the claw.




b. Install the blower assembly with the bolt and the 3 screws.

Torque: 9.8 N.m (100 kgf.cm, 87 in.lbf) (Bolt)

11. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL LOWER ASSEMBLY

HINT: Refer to procedures from instrument panel lower assembly.

12. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY UPPER W/FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

HINT: Refer to procedures from instrument panel sub-assembly upper w/ front passenger airbag assembly.
