Hood Latch Release Cable: Service and Repair

HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSY

REPLACEMENT

HINT:
- The installation procedures are the removal procedures in reverse order.
- A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart.

1. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSY




a. Remove the 3 bolts and lock.
b. Remove the cable from the lock.

2. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSY
a. Remove the fender liner.




b. Remove the cable from the clamps as shown in the illustration.

3. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSY




a. Install the cable to the clamps as shown in the illustration.
b. Install the fender liner.

4. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSY




a. Install the lock with the 3 bolts.

Torque: 7.0 N.m (71 kgf.cm, 62 in.lbf)

b. Adjust the lock position.
