DTC 24 CURTAIN SHIELD AIRBAG SENSOR (P SEAT SIDE) MALFUNCTION

CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION

DTC Detecting Condition:




The airbag sensor rear RH consists of the safing sensor, the diagnostic circuit, the lateral deceleration sensor, etc.

If the airbag sensor assembly center receives signals from the lateral deceleration sensor, it determines whether or not the SRS should be activated.

DTC B1635/24 is recorded when a malfunction is detected in the airbag sensor rear RH circuit.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

CAUTION: Be sure to perform the following procedures before troubleshooting to avoid unexpected airbag deployment.

a. Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
b. Disconnect the negative (-) terminal cable from the battery, and wait for at least 90 seconds.
c. Disconnect the connectors from the airbag sensor assembly center.
d. Disconnect the connectors from the horn button assembly.
e. Disconnect the connectors from the front passenger airbag assembly.
f. Disconnect the connector from the instrument panel airbag assembly lower No.1.
g. Disconnect the connector from the front seat airbag assembly LH.
h. Disconnect the connector from the front seat airbag assembly RH.
i. Disconnect the connector from the curtain shield airbag assembly LH.
j. Disconnect the connector from the curtain shield airbag assembly RH.
k. Disconnect the connector from the front seat outer belt assembly LH.
l. Disconnect the connector from the front seat outer belt assembly RH.
