Rear Side Door Stationary Window Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Lower the window.
2. Remove the rear side door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement (Service and Repair).
3. Remove the rubber ring.
4. Remove the water vapor barrier.
5. Remove the belt inner sealing strip.
Pull the sealing strip carefully from behind beginning at the top.
6. Remove the belt outer sealing strip.
Pull the sealing strip carefully from behind beginning at the top.
7. Loosen the lower guide rail (3).
Remove the bolt.
8. Remove the rear guide rail seal (1).
9. Remove the rear guide rail (2).
Remove the bolt.
10. Remove the rear stationary window from the window channel.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the stationary window in to the window channel.
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).
2. Install the front door rear window channel.
Tighten the top bolt to 2.5 Nm (22 lb in).
3. Install the rear window channel seal.
Tighten the rear lower window channel.
Tighten the bolt to 7 Nm (62 lb in).
4. Install the belt outer sealing strip.
5. Install the belt inner sealing strip.
Note: Damaged water vapor barrier must be replaced.
6. Install the water vapor barrier.
* Apply the adhesive tape to door frame according to the shaded areas shown.
* Cut the foil to size.
* Provide the cut-outs for inside handle with bearing supports and, if available, manual window actuation.
* Install the water vapor barrier without creases.
7. Install the rubber ring.
8. Install the rear door inner panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement (Service and Repair).
9. Close the window.
