Torque Converter Housing Assemble

Special Tools
* DT 46414 - Driver
* EN 46342 - Driver Handle

For equivalent regional tools, refer to Special Tools (Tools and Equipment).




1. Install the front differential transfer drive gear front thrust bearing assembly (262).
2. Using DT 46414 - driver (2) and EN 46342 - driver handle (1) install the front differential drive gear assembly bearing (808).





Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

3. Install the front differential transfer drive gear assembly bearing retainer (806) and tighten the front differential transfer drive gear assembly bearing retainer bolt (807). Tighten to 13 Nm (115 lb in).




4. Place the 3 chip collector magnets (812) on the transmission fluid baffle (811).




5. Install the transmission fluid baffle (811) and tighten the 3 fluid baffle bolts (810). Tighten to 5.4 Nm (48 lb in).





Note: Be careful not to bend or damage the lube fluid pipe.

6. Tap the lube fluid pipe (805) with a plastic hammer into the case (10).
7. Install the lube fluid pipe retainer (803) and tighten the lube fluid pipe retainer bolt (804). Tighten to 5.4 Nm (48 lb in).
