Theft Deterrent Power Horn Replacement

J 39637 KM-6626 Wiper Arm Puller

Removal Procedure
Warning: Refer to Battery Disconnect Warning (Service Precautions).


1. Disconnect the battery.




2. Remove the windshield air inlet screen (1).
3. Remove the wiper arms (2).

* Remove the 2 covers.
* Remove the 2 nuts.
* Remove the 2 washers.
* Remove the wiper arm using J 39637 / KM-6626.
* Disconnect the hose for the washer/wiper system.




4. Remove the windshield air inlet screen (1).

* Lift the windshield air inlet screen in the vicinity of the dash.

Note: Carefully release the clips from the inside from the upper dash.

* Release the 5 clips (3).
* Remove the hose for the air inlet screen (2).




5. Remove the power horn.

* Disconnect the wiring harness plug (1).
* Remove the 2 nuts (2).
* Remove the power horn.

Installation Procedure

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

1. Install the power horn.

* Position the power horn.

Tighten the 2 nuts to 5 Nm (44 lb in).

* Connect the wiring harness plug.

2. Install the windshield air inlet screen.

* Install the hose to the air inlet screen.
* Install the 5 clips.

3. Install the windshield wiper arms.

Note: Ensure correct installation position of the windshield wiper arms.

* Position the 2 windshield wiper arms on the shaft.
* Install the 2 washers.

Tighten the 2 nuts to 17 Nm (13 lb ft).

* Install the 2 covers.

4. Install the windshield air inlet screen.
5. Connect the battery.
6. For reprogramming procedures, refer to Control Module References (Programming and Relearning).
