Remote Power Steering Fluid Reservoir Bracket Replacement (ZF)

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the power steering pump. Refer to Power Steering Pump Replacement (TRW) (Service and Repair)Power Steering Pump Replacement (ZF) (Service and Repair) .




2. Remove the bracket from the steering fluid reservoir.
Remove the 3 nuts (1) and (2).

Important: Do not rethread the studs on the reservoir.


3. Remove the 3 rubber bearings.
Remove the rubber bearings using a suitable tool.
4. Clean the thread in the steering fluid reservoir.



Installation Procedure


Important: Pay attention for different lengths of rubber bearings.


1. Install rubber bearings to the steering fluid reservoir.

1. Install the 3 rubber bearings using a suitable tool.
2. Insert screw locking compound.


Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .

2. Attach bracket to the steering fluid reservoir.

Tighten the 3 nuts to 22 N.m (16 lb ft).

3. Install the power steering pump. Refer to Power Steering Pump Replacement (TRW) (Service and Repair)Power Steering Pump Replacement (ZF) (Service and Repair) .
