Temperature Valve Actuator Replacement

Removal Procedure

Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution (Battery Disconnect Caution) .

Important: Only upon replacement of the air temperature actuator.


1. Disconnect the battery.




2. Remove the instrument panel insulator panel.
Remove the 2 bolts (1).
3. Remove the air duct footwell (3), front passenger side.
Remove the push pin (2).




4. Disconnect the wiring harness plug for the air temperature actuator (2).
Release and disconnect the wiring harness plug.
5. Remove the air temperature actuator.
Remove the 3 bolts (1).



Installation Procedure


Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .


Important: The air temperature actuator can only be fitted in one position.


1. Install the air temperature actuator.

Tighten the 3 bolts to 5 N.m (44 lb in).

2. Connect the wiring harness plug for the air temperature actuator on the temperature valve.
3. Install the air duct to the driver side footwell.
Install the push pin.
4. Install the instrument panel insulator panel.

Tighten the 2 retainers.


Important: Only upon replacement of the air temperature actuator.


5. Connect the battery.
6. For programming procedures, refer to Control Module References (Programming and Relearning) .
7. Perform the function inspection.
